Tithing In Your
Creating a robust tithing program is difficult, but essential to a functional church or parish. Let us help.
Creating a paradigm shift toward giving is incredibly hard. We have the expertise to accelerate your journey.
Church Tithing is Suffering
Creating a tithing program is harder now than it has ever been.
Tithing has been around for millennia. Since the time of Abraham, tithing has been a way for congregations to get closer to God. So why has tithing decreased so dramatically over the last 40 years especially? Here are some interesting statistics that point to the stark realities of tithing:
Between 1990 and 2015 the share of overall donations going to faith dropped 50% (New York Times).
The percentage of people who tithe is down to less than 5%
Since the year 2000, the number of people who seldomly attend church or rarely attend has risen from 40% to 54%
With fewer people going to church and fewer people donating, creating a tithing program is more difficult now than ever before. But have faith! We can help.
The Giving Problem
It isn't about the money...
3 out of 4 people who do not go to church make donations to nonprofit organizations. So that presents us with an incredibly serious question "why would people give money to a church when they can give it to other organizations?"
Before you can create a tithing program, you have to answer the question "why do people give?" Many people are interested in creating change in their society. Many have seen the impact of programs. Some just want a tax deduction. What is almost never given as a reason...getting closer to God.
Many would see this as a problem because of basic human skepticism. This skepticism has been fueled by years of immoral fundraising tactics perpetrated by churches large and small. But God is not the problem. God is the solution. God is the difference and the key to creating 'The Culture' of giving through love. We can show you the way to the new culture in your congregation.
The 'Culture' Solution
We will help your congregation change their reason for giving.
The news on tithing isn't all bad. Christians that tithe usually give between 11-20 percent of their gross income, which is higher than the recommended 10 percent. People who are tithing are ENTHUSIASTIC about tithing.
So how do we get people to tithe? The key is to create a culture of giving that is based on love and a desire to know God. In our consulting, events, and certificate program, we will teach you and help you convince your congregation that tithing is the path to a more Christian way of life.
The bottom line however is clear and without debate. You need a tithing program, especially if you are a congregation with less than 500 people. The average person gives less than $1000 per year to their church. A church cannot survive on this, much less have meaningful programs that help their communities.
